The remains of Aren Akun, a Second Class Traditional Ruler in Nasarawa State, HRH Alhaji Usman Galadima Umbugadu has been laid to rest in his country home, Awogyen Akun, Wakama Ward, Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage (Rtd) during the funeral rites sympathized with Eggon nation over the demised of Aren Akun.

They prayed for the reposed of the soul of the Monarch whom the said lived a life worthy of emulation praying God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him paradise as his final abode.

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau who also attended the funeral rites described the death of Aren Akun as painful, very sad and shocking.

Speaker Jatau said that the death of Aren Akun is one two many to bear but urged all to take it as the will of God.

He emphasized that the traditional ruler had left a vacuum that would be hardly filled considering his contributions to peace and development.

” We are sad about his demise as he was a peace promoter and contributed immensely to the development of Akun Chiefdom, Eggon nation and the State at large

” We will missed his fatherly advise but God gives life and takes at will” he said

Jatau urged the family, Akun Development Area and the State Traditional Council of Chiefs to take solace in God.

 

He also prayed God to forgive the deceased of his shortcomings and grant him paradise.

Earlier, Sheikh Jibrin Yusuf Danladi, the Chief Imam of Nasarawa Eggon Central Mosque while presiding over the funeral rites prayed God to forgive the deceased of his shortcomings and grant him Aljanatul firdausi.

He also urged Muslims and other Nigerians to live life worthy of emulation and in accordance to God’s teachings and commandments.

It would be reported that Aren Akun of Akun Chiefdom, HRH Alhaji Usman Galadima Umbugadu died at a hospital in Abuja as a result of protracted illness.

It would be reported that the funeral rites also had in attendance Hon Labaran Maku, former Minister of Information, Hon David Ombugadu, 2023 PDP Governorship candidate, State Assembly members, traditional and religious leaders among others.
