Trouble looms in Edo APC as constituents seeks Okpebholo’s Recall from Senate
By Kingsley Ohens
The entire Edo State Central Senatorial constituency has recently resumed loud calls for the recall of Monday Okpebholo, who has become so staunchly dormant, noticeably ineffective, and increasingly inconsequential on the floor of the Senate.
This was contained in a joint statement signed and issued on Thursday by Dr. Peter D’Rock Uwaibi Global Coordinator,
Ofianose Akhator
Nigeria Coordinator and
Aiwanfoh Omoaghe
Diaspora Coordinator, said the Esankhide organization, a determined and sterling representative group for the welfare of all Esan people in Nigeria and in the Diaspora, has renewed calls and recently announced at a world press conference that Monday Okpebholo is delinquent in purpose and lacks the knowledgeable, idealistic aptitude needed to represent the Esan people in the Senate.
It is evident that for so long, the Esan people have coped with the odious humiliation of a depleted, ludicrous representative who can barely decipher, comprehend, or understand the rigorous undertakings of Senate plenary sessions.
We, members of this distinguished group at home and abroad, are unimpressed with his continuous representation in the Senate and have therefore called for the immediate recall of his abysmal stewardship in the Senate.
We outline these causes as some of his failings:
1) Abandonment of constituency representation in Senate plenary sessions.
2) Conceding his authoritative power of representation to Senator Adams Oshiomhole, thus abating Esan collective progressive developmental interests.
3) A complete dereliction of duties by delegating his representative responsibilities to Senator Godswill Akpabio, further frustrating us with his aberrational, self-defeatist attitude.
We, the global members of Esankhide, have therefore issued an irrevocable demand for the immediate recall of Monday Okpebholo to come back home and address these pertinent allegations.
