Kogi Lawmaker, Akus Doles out Second Tranche of 1M Education Support To Students.

Kogi Lawmaker ,Rt Hon Lawal Akus has supported tertiary institutions students with another round of one million naira, as part of his program to mitigate payment of school fees to higher education students.

In a release made available to newsmen on Friday, he restated his commitment to continue to support education of the people of his constituency, as education is the most reliable part to prosperity.

According to the release, the beneficiaries students consists of those of 34 Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa , 24 from Glory Land Polytechnic, Ankpa to totalling 58.

The second tranche was meant to complete the earlier 1M paid as tuition fees for the numbered students , making up the 2M student support promised.

While presenting the cheque, the state Lawmaker vowed to continue to support education and other social services.

“I’m very pleased to announce the second instalment of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) only for the complete tuition payment of students in Ankpa 1 State Constituency that are beneficiaries of our scholarship scheme. ”

Gloryland Polytechnic, Ankpa —- 24 Students.”

“Total number of students on our education Scholarship scheme in our first year —- 58.”

“My dear brother and friend, Awwal, will present a bank draft of N500,000 each to Kogi State College of Education and Gloryland Polytechnic.”

“We had earlier paid N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) only as the first instalment, bringing the total amount paid so far to N2,000,000 (Two Million Naira) only.”
