Vehicle owners will start paying N5,375 on e-CMR – Police
The police in Nigeria have introduced a new measure Solely to tackle all forms of crimes through e-CMR.
Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has restated it commitment to the enforcement to guide and protect the rights of every Nigerian citizenry against theft and crimes that may lead to lost of their vehicles and other crimes. This the Nigeria police has given vehicle owners ultimatum from July 29 to register for the digitalized Central Motor Registry (e-CMR), which costs N5,375 per vehicle.
ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, stated this in a statement on Saturday, July 13, 2024., said “The e-CMR is an advanced, real-time online repository of motor vehicle data, designed to support police investigations, operational activities, and combat vehicle-related crimes, including terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
