Adninuba Hails Prof. Bart Nnaji on 68th Birthday
By Ebuka Onyekwelu
The former Commissioner for Information in Anambra State, C. Don Adinuba, congratulates Prof. Bart Nnaji, the founder and chairman of Geometric Power and Nigeria’s former Minister of Power, on his 68th birthday. Describing Prof. Nnaji as a patriotic Nigerian, Adinuba said that “one important lesson our countrymen and women can learn from him is the imperative of matchless optimism”.
Adinuba also described Nnaji as a man whose commitment to excellence is unrivaled. “Nnaji not only expects the best but also works passionately towards delivering superior performance,” he said.
Before returning to Nigeria, Prof. Bart Nnaji was a successful industrial and mechanical engineer in the United States of America. Only a few months ago, his Geometric Power was celebrated nationwide for the novel feat of stable power supply in Aba, Abia state. The Aba power investment by Geometric Power is arguably the single largest investment in the Southeastern part of Nigeria, estimated at nearly about a billion dollars.
Alluding to the success of Geometric Power’s venture in Aba, Abia State, Adinuba said the success of that initiative could have only been achieved by a man in the mould of Prof. Bart Nnaji. “Indeed, only a person with Nnaji’s faith in Nigeria could insist, for a whole 20 years, on proceeding with the 188 megawatt Geometric Power Plant in Aba and the Aba Power Electric Company to a positive conclusion,” Adinuba held, further noting that Nnaji’s philosophy is summed up in a mind that is open to possibilities and one to which “there is no mountain too high to climb.”

For these and many more reasons, Adinuba is of the conviction that Nigerians celebrate Prof. Bart Nnaji because of his “faith in the Nigerian possibility and the value of boundless optimism. All Nigerians wish Nnaji many more years of good health, wisdom, and service to God and the country,” Don Adinuba concluded.
