Kogi State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Bello (Dollars), has described the attitude of indifference of the people of Kogi State towards the “National Protest” as the reward of good legacies laid by the immediate past Governor of the State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

Abdullahi Bello who spoke with newsmen during the 30 years Firdau prayer for Sheikh, Alhaji Ibrahim Yabagi in Lokoja, Kogi State capital said, the immediate past Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has laid a solid template for an all inclusive government.

The Kogi State APC party chieftain commended former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for laying a solid foundation for prosperity of the State.

While expressing praise and appreciation for the former Governor’s achievements and efforts in establishing a strong foundation for the state.

According to Dollars, Bello set clear goals and vision, Implemented effective policies, strategies, Built a strong team, infrastructure, Made significant progress, Created a stable and sustainable base for future growth and development

He acknowledged the former Governor’s leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the cause, and expressing gratitude for the positive impact of his time.

He explained that everyone is carried along in the schemes of things resulting to limited grievances.

The APC Chairman maintained that the unity, peace and togetherness established in the state will never tolerate breakages of laws and order emphasising that the current administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is enjoying the good precepts.

His words ” lions will give birth to lions, the former Governor of the State, our revered leader, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has laid a foundation of peace, unity, and togetherness in the state. I think that is what the sitting Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is enjoying. I am a party man and I know that good leaders will not put their followers in bad situation. We hope for the best even in this trying time and we won’t allow hoodlums either within the state of outside to hijack the protest and destroy our hard earned legacies’.

On the Firdau prayer, the APC Chairman who expressed appreciation to Allah for being part of the program described Sheik Alhaji Ibrahim Yabagi as a spiritual leader who was loved by the people due to his passion for impacting Islamic knowledge in the people.

He emphasised that the Program attracted dignitaries from the country and beyond emphasising that the Sheik was a man who believed in the oneness of Allah.

The APC Chairman prayed to Allah to continue to favour him in the world beyond as well as those he left behind.

Similarly, the Oba of Yoruba, His Royal Highness, Chief Alhaji Bello Audu, (aka Owoniboys) has thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for sustaining proactive steps to avert protest that can lead to violence.

Alhaji Owoniboys who appreciated the Governor’s dispositions to civil servants, traditional rulers as well as developmental agendas noted that such moves has greatly reduced tension on the State.

He thanked the people of Kogi State for maintaining peace despite the prevailing situation in the country emphasising that the peaceful disposition is a clear indication of their love and respect for constituted authority.
