The Minister of Steel Development, Honourable Shuaib Abubakar Audu has expressed his willingness to make amends and reconcile with members who are upset or aggrieved through resolving conflicts, addressing grievances, healing relationships, rebuilding trust and moving forward together

The Minister who spoke via executive member of Shuaib Abubakar Audu Foundation expressing readiness to reconcile, the Minister is demonstrating:

Arising from internal wranglings and a situation where a serving Minister of Steel Development, Hon (Prince) Shuaib Abubakar Audu is making amends towards reconciling with his authentic supporters and members of his foundation, who had previously agreed to support him at the beginning of the struggle.

Chairman of the Shuaib Abubakar Audu Foundation, SAAF, Prince Daniel Idoko Ogacheko and Alhaji Usman Audu, the younger brother of former Governor of Kogi State and Uncle to Minister Shuaib Audu, Mr. Idoko Steven, Stakeholder, Mr. Isah Salisu Adani, Hon Solomon Agada, the Publisher of Confluence Newspaper and a Media Consultant, and Yahaya Idris, Publisher of www.globaltimesnigeria.com and few other selected elders at the meeting noted that misunderstandings, disagreements, or a miscommunication led to a rift between the Hon Minister of Steel Development and his ardent supporters.

Prince Daniel Idoko Ogacheko, the Chairman of the Shuaib Abubakar Audu Foundation, SAAF, who spoke extensively reiterated the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaib Abubakar Audu’s commitment to redress relationships, rebuild trust, re-establish communication channels, address concerns, resolve issues, reinforce commitment in the constituents and move forward together in a positive direction.

According to Ogacheko, it’s part of the Minister’s plan to hold meeting, public forum to listen to concerns and address issues, meeting with individual supporters or groups with apologies and make amends.

He recalled how these aggrieved individuals who were previously supportive of the Foundation and foot soldiers by managing it’s image did a wonderful job but now fell hurt, disappointed, or betrayed due to a particular action or decision.

Earlier, Comrade Yahaya Idris and Hon Solomon Agada praised the foundation executive for reaching out to them in an effort to reconcile them with their leader, after working for years without recognition or appreciation despite being appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led All Progressives Congress, APC, administration as a cabinet Minister.

Yahaya Idris and Solomon Agada said no one would have believed that the present Minister from Kogi State who used to accord them all the necessary respect during the struggle, only to get the apex position abandoned them for a reason best known to him, but accepted a room for reconciliation and amendment.

“We’re group of aggrieved members of Shuaib Abubakar Audu Foundation, some people can’t make it to the meeting due to impromptu nature of the meeting, based on this aforementioned, we want to assured that we’re ready to put in our sacrifices, efforts and buried our past in the interest of peace, unity and development of Kogi people and to advance the continuous political patronage of the Minister.”

“We want to also appeal to both the foundation and the Minister to carry people of impeccable characters along in the scheme of things, so that his works will not only been seen but felt by the target audiences in Kogi and beyond.”

They expressed disappointment how they mobilised their personal resources to Abuja to cover the Minister’s screening at the senate/ inauguration and the ill treatment they got from the Minister, persuaded them to partway with their leader and now Minister.

Though, with utmost confidence for an immediate redress by the Minister in view of his proactiveness.

Their demands as follows:

1. The Minister should engage them in any opportunities available to him, as they remained part of his kitchen cabinet and think tank .

2. The Minister should appoint people that would represent him anywhere they found themselves and not sycophants, hypocrites or bootlickers that only knows how to praise singing even when things are going wrong, capable of misleading the youngest minister and his vibrant team .

3. The Minister should compensate without further delay , inculcate them for their services they’ve render before, during and after his ministerial appointment and going forward.

4. The Minister should listen to the voice of reasoning and not those whose opinions are not taken serious in the society and also use his wisdom not only as a public officer , but the head of his political team aspiring to higher heights in the political firmament of Nigeria, beyond kogi state.

5 We have a strong conviction of the Minister’s foresight, proactiveness and wisdom to do the needful geared towards galvanizing his God given and ordained leadership position in the current dispensation in Kogi and the country at large.
