In a recent poll conducted by Thisday Newspaper, Asue Ighodalo of the PDP has emerged as the clear frontrunner in the gubernatorial race, commanding a substantial 68% of the poll. This survey, which also evaluated the other major candidates—Olumide Akpata of the LP and Monday Okpebholo of the APC—confirms what many observers had anticipated.
The results align closely with my previous prediction that the combined percentage for the other political parties would total around 30%. Asue Ighodalo’s commanding lead is a testament to his exceptional performance throughout the campaign and his undeniable appeal to voters.
Ighodalo’s ascent to the top spot is the result of his impressive track record and the numerous qualities he brings to the table. Over time, he has consistently demonstrated his worth through his remarkable capability, capacity, and competence. His eloquence and compassion, paired with his humility, have further endeared him to the electorates.
The significant support he has garnered reflects a clear consensus among the people, who have chosen to embrace him as their preferred candidate. This strong backing underscores a broad-based and genuine endorsement of his leadership potential.
Despite various attempts at propaganda, federal might bragging, or deceitful practices could alter the will of the people and it is evident that the people’s decision remains firm.
Asue Ighodalo’s lead in the polls signifies an unshakeable public confidence in his vision and leadership, indicating that no external factors are likely to sway this outcome.
