Today marked an exhilarating second day of our campaign activities, showcasing tremendous enthusiasm from our communities. The campaign train was spearheaded by Dr. Osagie Osifo, Director General of the PDP Egor Local Government Campaign Council, alongside Chief Manfred Ekundayo Idehen, the Egor PDP Party Chairman
The campaign train were honored to be joined by key figures including the Executive Chairman of Egor LG Council, the Vice-Chairman of Egor LG Council, the Deputy Director General of Edo State Campaign Council representing Egor Ikpoba-Okha, Deputy Director General the Egor Campaign Council, the Director General of the Egor Media and Tactical Team for AiO², the Honourable Councillors, and the distinguished members of the Campaign Council.
The presence of Egor PDP women leaders, youth leaders, the Edo South Senatorial Youth Leader, and dedicated party faithful added significant momentum to the journey.
In a statement issued by Hon. Sam Emovon, Chairman Media, Communication And Publicity Subcommittee, PDP Egor LGC noted the first stop was the Palace of the Visit To Enogie Of Ukpera Community, where the council received a warm and enthusiastic welcome. The community’s support for the PDP governorship candidate Bar Asue Ighodalo was truly inspiring.
The campaign council then visited the Odionwere and Elders of Okhokhugbo Community. Their commendation of Governor Obaseki’s administration and their unwavering support for Bar Asue Ighodalo underscored their commitment to a progressive future.
The campaign train proceeded to the Palace of the Enogie of Uhunmwun Community in Ward 1, where the community’s readiness to mobilize for the upcoming election was both impressive and encouraging. The Enogie noted that most of the elders and youth of the community are members of the PDP.
Additionally, the council visited Chief Ogida of Evbuogida Community at his Royal Palace, a significant homecoming as their daughter, the councillor representing Ward 2, hails from this palace The heartfelt support from this community is a testament to our strong local ties and commitment.
The campaign council concluded our visits with the Oronmiyan Landlords and Landladies in the Oronmiyan area, where the reception was overwhelmingly positive. With over 80% of the residents backing the PDP, their mobilization will be crucial in securing support for Bar Asue Ighodalo.
As the PDP, Egor LG campaign continues to build momentum, PDP message of continuity and progress resonates strongly with the people. The DG and members of the campaign council are deeply grateful for the support and look forward to further engagements as they approach the election.
