To ensure provision of water supply , reduce the age long water scarcity in Ankpa township and it’s environs, the state lawmaker representing Ankpa 1 in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Lawal Akus has flagged off a community partnership project by inaugurating the Makurdi street borehole in Ankpa township.
The project which commenced soon after the Inauguration of the state lawmaker in 2023 was in dire need of the people for domestic and portable water supply .
While inaugurating the Makurdi street borehole on Saturday, Akus expressed his determination to ensure each street and area of Ankpa township are provided with a borehole courtesy of his community partnership ideas.
The scheme witnessed already constructed three boreholes with one in Ankpa township, two in Ochi communities in Ankpa suburb 2 ward.
The lawmaker who expressed worry at the level of water scarcity in Ankpa township also appeal to the state government to hasten the repair and renovation of the moribund Ankpa water works located in the town.
He expressed his determination to continue to invest in social services like Education, Health, Agriculture and provision of water and light across the length and breadth of Ankpa 1 state constituency.
