The Amb. Peter Orobor Foundation in conjunction with The Association of Edo Indigenes in Abuja and The Enterprise Development Institute, Abuja, have thrown their weights behind the PDP candidate in Edo State, Barr. Asue Ighodalo and his running mate, Barr. Osarodion Ogie. The groups also presented an award of “Excellent Leadership” to the governorship candidate.
Speaking on behalf of the groups in a brief award ceremony in Edo House, Abuja, on Monday, the founder of Amb. Peter Orobor Foundation, described the PDP candidate in Edo State , Barr. Asue Ighodalo as God sent to the people. He said that the Edo voters resident in Abuja, have unanimously adopted Barr. Asue Ighodalo as their consensus candidate in the coming election.
Amb. Tony Okonigene, a member of the Edo State Campaign Council, received the award on behalf of the PDP candidate , Barr. Asue Ighodalo. He thanked the groups for the recognition accorded the PDP candidate, Barr. Asue Ighodalo and his running mate. He assured them that with Barr. Asue Ighodalo and Barr. Osarodion Ogie, Edo State will be in safe hands and the foundations laid by Governor Godwin Obaseki will not be destroyed. He encouraged Edo voters resident in Abuja to go home and vote for the PDP candidate on the 21st of September noting that it will be the only that they can be counted in future among those that saved Edo state from being hijacked by forces of darkness on September 21, 2024.
The groups had earlier held a rally/ town hall meeting on Friday, August 30th to drum support for the PDP candidates
