With the Edo governorship election slated for September 21, Mr Kede Aihie, a notable Edo individual, has voiced his support for Asue Ighodalo, the candidate representing the Peoples Democratic Party.

In a released statement, Aihie highlighted the need for Edo State to progress, rather than relapsing into former ways. He praised Ighodalo’s ‘Pathway to Prosperity’ agenda, which capitalizes on the gains made in education, agriculture, health, security, technology, and institutional reforms over the past eight years.

Aihie highlighted Ighodalo’s leadership experience, commitment to reform, and proven track record of creating opportunities for Edo and Nigerian citizens. He also commended Ighodalo’s empowerment of youth in the legal profession through his top commercial law firm.

In contrast, Aihie criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for lacking leadership and vision, and warned against returning to the politics of the past, marked by incompetence and disrespect for women.
