…Pressuring INEC to terminate the election process
The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) claims that, with preliminary results indicating an imminent loss, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State is attempting to coerce the military into withdrawing from collation centers, where they have maintained stability and order.
According to Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, State Chairman of the PDP, the APC’s actions are intended to facilitate collaboration between thugs and unprincipled police officers to disrupt the results collation process.
He stated, “The APC is mobilizing thugs to disrupt the collation process and is putting pressure on the military to withdraw from the centers to carry out their devious plans.”
“Results are trickling in as expected, with us holding the advantage. However, APC seems to be panicking and activating sleeper cells to disrupt collation centers due to clear signs of defeat.”
“He noted that the APC’s alternative plan is to terminate the election process to save face, stating, “The APC also plans to terminate voting, fearing defeat. We urge all democracy lovers to closely monitor them.”
