….President Worried About Ministers with Limited Achievements, Only Sharing FG Palliatives
By Yahaya Idris, Abuja
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Ministers to engage openly with the media and disseminate information on their ministries’ accomplishments.
Speaking at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, Bayo Onanuga, Presidential Adviser on Information and Strategy, noted with dismay that substantial progress has been achieved, yet remains largely unknown to the Nigerian public.
He said, “The President has signified his desire to restructure his cabinet, and he will carry out the changes. I am not aware if the changes will take place before October 1, but the President has assuredly committed to the reshuffle. That is the extent of my information, as a specific timeline has not been shared.
Onanuga revealed that the President issued a directive to all cabinet members at the last Federal Executive Council meeting, mandating them to communicate the administration’s activities and progress to the public.
“He motivates individuals who have been reluctant to engage in media appearances to develop self-assurance and openly share their achievements
“The prevailing sentiment is that the government’s efforts are insufficient, whereas, in reality, significant strides have been made. It is crucial for them to showcase their accomplishments and articulate the successes of their respective ministries
