On Tuesday, a delegation comprising representatives from Osuku community, including palace officials, youth organizations, political supporters, family members, friends, and stakeholders from Kogi local government area, visited the Lokoja residence of HRM Alhaji Khalid Bukar ll, the Ohiogba of Mozum Kingdom in Bassa Local Government Area, to formally express their appreciation for the esteemed recognition bestowed upon their community through Barr Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku’s appointment as Garkuwa of Mozum Kingdom.
Speaking for the delegation, Chief Alhaji Abdulkarim Suleiman, Ogazuma Ogbani of Osuku chiefdom, formally acknowledged the Ohiogba of Mozum’s generous backing, specifically the prestigious chieftaincy title of Garkuwa conferred upon Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, Executive Chairman of Kogi State Civil Service Commission.
Ogazuma Ogbani of Osuku informed HRM Khalid Bukar II that, out of deep respect for royalty, the Osuku people established a high-level delegation to express their sincere appreciation for his steadfast support towards their son.
According to him, Barr Tanko’s contributions to development and peace have benefited not only Osuku community, Kogi LG, and the State, but also areas outside the State.
The delegation offered a special prayer for the king’s health and well-being, and assured him of their support and solidarity.
HRM Alhaji Khalid Bukar II welcomed the Osuku royal delegation, reflecting on his over 20-year connection with Barr Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, forged in Jos, Plateau State.
The Mozum first-class ruler observed that Barr Tanko’s connections extend across Egbira communities both within and outside Kogi State, emphasizing his exceptional character.
King Khalid Bukar II commended Barr Tanko Osuku, characterizing him as a premier legal mind and exceptional administrator, whose distinction is a source of pride for the Egbira people.
He reflected on Barr Tanko’s impactful stewardship as chief administrator of Kogi LGA, where he effectively utilized his position to foster tangible development and progress, unequivocally.
He commended Barr. Tanko for demonstrating remarkable generosity and diligence through his strategic use of connections, expertise, and resources to benefit his constituents.
Our correspondent indicates that Alhaji Danladi Aiga, President of Ayikwu Egbira, Mallam Muhammed Angulu Musa, known as Quotation, along with elders, aides, chiefs, and youths, joined Barr Tanko on a visit to the residence of HRM King Khalid Bukar II.
