*The Girl Child & Her Hygiene
*Say No to Bully’ & Peer Pressure

The program was led by Comr. Jemide Temi, National Association of Itsekiri Students’ Vice President and a 400-level law student at Novena University Ogume, supported by her team. They connected with 300 girl children aged 13-18 in Koko Community, Warri North LGA.

She delivered an insightful presentation on ‘Procrastination and its Consequences on Academic Achievement,’ spanning the entire program in Warri South and Warri North, instructing female students that procrastination undermines timely progress and advising them to adopt a proactive approach to secure outstanding results and distinction in their academic and professional pursuits.

She stressed that success in life demands a rigorous process, necessitating self-discipline to initiate tasks promptly and execute them efficiently. Consequently, to secure favorable results, it is crucial to begin studying for your upcoming examination, now merely a month away, rather than procrastinating until the final week.

A student’s intelligence is no guarantee of success without proactive reading preparation for exams, which otherwise yields disappointing results. The event will also feature presentations by Comr. Jemine Agbeyegbe, Comr. Anino Uremure, and Comr. Famous Uwagbajumi.

This program received esteemed sponsorship from Hon. Festus Ashima, Executive Chairman of Warri North LGA.

Present at the event was Hon. Mrs. Omasan Ashima, wife of the Executive Chairman of Warri North LGA, who counseled the girls to refrain from activities conflicting with their life’s purpose and destiny.

She emphasized the importance for the girls to heed and diligently apply the lessons learned from the Girl Child Advocates. She assured them that the current administration in WNLG prioritizes their welfare, exemplified by the Girl Child Program’s theme ‘Our Girls Our Priority,’ initiated by the Office of the Vice President, National Association Of Itsekiri Students (National Body), marking the beginning of a committed effort. Notable attendees included Hon. Racheal Edeh, Councillor Koko, and various Council Staff members.
