The Nigeria National Volunteer Service, NNVS, a Kogi State-based NGO, has bestowed the honorific title of ‘Monika Okumo’ on renowned philanthropist Hon Abdulrafiu Yakubu, acknowledging his significant impact in enhancing the lives of individuals and communities that make valuable contributions to societal progress.

The group acknowledged Hon Abdulrafiu Yakubu’s efforts in mobilizing youth and women’s organizations to implement community development initiatives statewide, fostering strategic partnerships with the Kogi State government to provide socio-economic benefits to disadvantaged populations.

The Lokoja-based Community Development Association hailed the philanthropist’s kind gestures as innovative, calling on more individuals and groups to emulate his example.

Another group in Kogi State disclosed that Hon Abdulrafiu Yakubu’s philanthropic efforts have contributed immensely to accessibility to water through borehole drilling, scholarships for the disadvantaged students of secondary and tertiary institutions.

According to the leader of the Lokoja based Community development Association, Kogi Concern, they benefited from Hon Yakubu’s palliatives to mitigate the impacts of hunger and economic hardship.

Though Abdulrafiu Yakubu is a young man, his philanthropic spirit is geared towards enriching the lives of others from the gift God endowed on him.
