Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State, is being widely praised by people and across various sectors for his people-focused administration, which has restored hope and met the expectations of the citizens.
The latest applause came from Kogi State Chairman of the Science, Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission (STETSCOM), Comrade Paul Jibrin, who fielded questions from journalists following the implementation of a seventy-two thousand, five hundred naira minimum wage for all categories of government workers, describing it as restorative and unprecedented in the state’s political history.
According to Comrade Paul Jibrin, the entire state is abuzz with excitement due to being the first governor in the nineteen northern states to establish a steering committee and fully implement the new salary structure for state workers.
STETSCOM’s chairman praised Governor Ahmed Ododo and Deputy Governor Joel Oyibo for harmonizing and increasing pensioners’ monthly entitlements by ten thousand naira and offering free health insurance to retirees with pensions under fifty thousand naira.
