Kogi Poly Rector Praises Gov Ododo’s Implementation of N72,500 Minimum Wage, Health Insurance for Workers

Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has commended Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State, on behalf of the institution’s management, staff, and students, for approving the N72,500 minimum wage and implementing the Kogi State Health Insurance Scheme for workers.

Professor Usman made the commendation during the Management Meeting held on Wednesday, 9th October 2024, at the Academic Complex’s Conference Room, Main Campus, Lokoja.

The Rector praised Governor Ododo for his institution’s steadfast support and affection, noting that the Governor’s measures were groundbreaking since Kogi State is one of the pioneering states to adopt the minimum wage.

He noted that the approval of N72,500 as minimum wage is a commendable advancement and a testament to the benefits of continuity and consolidation, while also applauding the Governor for implementing the Health Insurance Scheme, which demonstrates this administration’s commitment to prioritizing workers’ well-being.

According to Professor Usman, workers in Kogi State, especially those at Kogi State Polytechnic, will always appreciate the institution’s benevolence amidst the prevailing economic difficulties.

The Rector appreciated the impressive performance of Governor Ododo and reiterated the unflinching support of the institution’s Management for the present administration to succeed.

Professor Usman commended Kogi workers, particularly those in Kogi State Polytechnic, for their steadfast dedication over the years and encouraged them to recommit themselves to delivering exceptional service.
