The Minister of Works David Umahi lambasted House of Representatives member, Remi Oseni, the Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), over misappropriation allegations leveled against him.
The Minister noted that Oseni has not attained even half of his lifetime achievements.
The former Governor has opted to refrain from engaging in a dispute with the lawmaker, as a sign of respect for the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.
“He made the assertion that I have failed, a claim that contradicts my impeccable record of success. I invite him to scrutinize my background to verify my accomplishments. Achieving half of my accomplishments would require extraordinary fortune. Hence, I decline to respond, due to my deep respect for Mr. Speaker and the National Assembly.”
“I would like to shed light on some matters. He asserted that I was involved in certain issues, and his assertion was valid, given his apparent representation of the contractors. The contentious issues revolved around the Variation of Price, an initiative that was severely draining our budgetary allocations.”
