The All Progressives Congress (APC) Osun State chapter has suspended former Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for alleged anti-party activities.

According to reports in the Vanguard, a resolution submitted to the APC National Secretariat and addressed to National Chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje, the Osun APC asserts that Aregbesola’s actions, specifically the formation of a rival faction, have contributed to ongoing divisions within the party.

The APC asserts that this action has compromised party cohesion, particularly during a critical period in Osun politics.

Party leaders are concerned that Aregbesola’s significant influence over specific groups has exacerbated internal divisions, which the state chapter perceives as harmful to party cohesion.
