Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, pledges to spearhead an inclusive administration that promotes peace, unity, and accelerated development in the area.
Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya made the assurance while swearing in the Deputy Chairman and Councilors at the council’s Secretariat today, Wednesday.
The Chairman charged Deputy Chairman Atnadu Sunday Yakubu and 12 councilors of Toto Local Government to foster unity and teamwork for effective service delivery and accelerated development of the area.
He vowed to maintain an open-door policy, promoting an all-encompassing administration that engages all stakeholders to achieve peace, unity, and growth in Toto Local Government.
The Chairman outlined his blueprint, which encompasses security, education, agriculture, youth empowerment, and revenue drive enhancement, to improve the well-being of the area’s residents.
He commended God Almighty, Governor Abdullahi Sule, and all relevant stakeholders for their role in ensuring the election’s success and their assumption of duties in governing the council.
In appealing for community backing, Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya gave assurance to the people of Toto Local Government that he and his team would work diligently to meet their expectations
In a vote of thanks, Deputy Chairman of the council, Atnadu Sunday Yakubu reaffirmed their commitment to extend full cooperation to the chairman in accomplishing their mandated tasks.
The event was attended by Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas, the immediate past Chairman of the area, politicians, community leaders, and others, who discussed sustaining peace, unity, and development in the area.
Our correspondent reports that Rt. Hon. Abdulhameed Abdullahi Ayizimazi of Kenyehu Electoral Ward has secured re-election as Speaker of the legislative arm for a second tenure.
The following Councillors were duly elected as principal officers: Deputy Speaker, Hon. Haruna Yusuf Mohammed from Gwargwada ward, Majority Leader, Hon. Abdullahi Maji Umar from Toto ward, Chief Whip, Hon. Yusuf Sani Dausu, Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Ubandaki Abdulgafar Shege, and Clerk of the House, Mall Garba Bako.
