Ere Kingdom residents urged to support new Elere, Oba Richard Olusegun

The community of Ere Kingdom in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State is encouraged to rally behind His Royal Highness Oba Richard Olusegun, the new Elere of Ere, to ensure his tenure is successful.
The traditional ruler of Oke Aga Community, Odo Ere, HRH Oba Sunday Onilede, issued the appeal in a conversation with our reporter in Lokoja.
Oba Onilede stated that he held the position of Second Class Oba and Acting Chairman of the Ere Traditional Council, with the duty of facilitating the accession of the new monarch to the throne of his ancestors.
He pointed out that standard procedures were followed, thereby ensuring the king’s broad acceptance among the diverse clans of the Ere Kingdom.
He praised Oba Richard Olusegun, the newly enthroned Elere of Ere, as a distinguished gentleman boasting comprehensive insight into Ere Kingdom’s traditions and historical significance.
Oba Onilede voiced optimism regarding the new monarch’s tenure, citing his affection for the people and capacity for active listening as key attributes that will distinguish him as an exemplary leader.
The traditional ruler urged Ere’s sons and daughters to collaborate towards the forthcoming coronation of the new monarch, scheduled for December 27, 2024.
