FUPRE VC Stands in for President Tinubu at ADUN’s 3rd Convocation

Professor Akpofure Rim-Rukeh FNES, Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at Admiralty University of Nigeria’s 3rd Convocation Ceremony in Ibusa, Delta State, on November 22, 2024.
Delivering the President’s address, Professor Rim-Rukeh urged ADUN to focus its research on addressing Nigeria’s critical challenges, particularly in security, economic growth, and infrastructure, through innovative technological solutions.
He also commended the institution for striving to establish faculties of engineering and marine studies, highlighting how these developments will enhance shipbuilding, maintenance, and allied endeavors, thereby driving technological advancement and creating job opportunities.
According to the President, over ₦70 billion has already been processed for payment to students under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund), further demonstrating the government’s commitment to supporting education and empowering the nation’s youth.
In his representation, Professor Rim-Rukeh reinforced the federal government’s commitment to supporting ADUN’s academic and research excellence, underscoring the importance of innovation in national development.
The event featured the conferment of degrees and awards, celebrating ADUN’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s educational growth and development.
