Kogi is Enjoying succesful government policies and decisions – State Chairman NYCN
Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojadale, Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Kogi State Chapter, says decisions and policies made by the present All Progressives Congress, APC, government led by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo have successfully laid a good foundation.
Jeremiah Ojadale disclosed this shortly after Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo presented the 2025 Budget at the Kogi State House of Assembly on Wednesday.
The Kogi Youth Council Chairman in attendance at the State House of Assembly for the presentation of the 2025 Appropriation Bill tagged Budget of All Inclusive Development commended the Governor of Kogi State ‘Alhaji Ahmed Ododo for his foresight in project execution.
Ojadale stated that Kogi youths are solidly behind the Governor, encouraging him to sustain his development blueprint for the State’s populace.

Governor Ododo Presents N582.4bn 2024 Budget for All-Inclusive Development
…A large chunk of 36.19% goes to social service sector.
Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, Governor of Kogi State, has presented the 2024 Budget of All Inclusive Development to the State House of Assembly.
Gov. Ododo observed that the 2025 budget is designed to enhance Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and facilitate the repayment of state debt obligations, thereby freeing resources for development.
He added that the budget will also create conducive business environment for development Partners and private sector investors to contribute to the state economic development of the State.
Similarly he said the budget will enhance Public-Private-Partnerships, block wastages and leakages in revenue streams to
ensure efficient resource utilization.
Similarly the budget he added will lead to project completion as contained in the State Development Plan (2024 – 2056).
The summary of the draft 2025 Revenue and Expenditure Estimates as presented by Gov. Ododo shows an estimated outlay of
N582,404,119.489.
The total budget outlay of N582,404,119.489 is divided into Recurrent
Expenditure of N279,590,215,687 representing 48.01% and Capital Expenditure of
N302,813,903,802 representing 51.99%.
The governor, who presented the N582,404,119,489 Budget Proposal, higher than the N406,321,130,013 budget estimate of 2024 to the State House of Assembly, presided over by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar, said his government has been proactive in responding to the hardship people face.
The budget showed sectoral allocation to the following sectors as follows: Administration 120,047,367,416 representing 20.61%, Economic 227,820,142,196 39.12%, Law and Justice 23,754,514,351 4.08% and the Social Service sector taken the large chunk of 210,782,095,526 36.19%
He added that the administration has taken all the necessary steps to ensure that the 2025 Budget addresses the economic challenges of the coming year and ensure that his vision of sustainable development in the state is achieved.
The governor, who commended the House of Assembly for cooperating with his administration since assumption of office, urged the lawmakers to speedily consider the 2025 Appropriation Bill and pass it to benefit Kogi State people.
