Uche Ogah Sets Pace in Business, Leadership through Education
Last Tuesday, 4th of December, 2024, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah (CON), founder and CEO of Masters Energy Group and former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree from Lead City University in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Before attaining this recent feat, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah had similarly acquired academic excellence and certification from Harvard, Oxford, and Cambridge, designed to equip him with basic knowledge in business and leadership.
Dr Uchechukwu Ogah’s journey from chartered accountant to Doctor of Philosophy holder and leadership coach is a clear testament to the power of education, dedication, work and resilience.
Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah has not hidden his passion for knowledge acquisition as he believed that knowledge is a cornerstone of societal progress.
There’s no saying the fact that Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah’s accomplishments has continued to inspire not only individuals but also communities, proving that when knowledge is sought and shared, greatness or success follows.
Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah’s educational level and experience prowess has transcended into owing multi-faceted business conglomerates ranging from industrialization, oil and gas, philanthropism etc. While serving as a member of the Federal Executive Council(FEC) cum Minister under ex-President Muhammadu Buhari(GCFR), Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah brought his education prowess to bear in transforming the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.
While steering affairs of the ministry, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah engende imfactful and economic-driven reforms especially in the fight against smuggling, illegal mining of Nigeria natural and solid mineral resource.
The Isuikwuato-born industrialist, being an Abia representative in past federal cabinet otherwise Federal Executive Council chaired by then President Buhari, demonstrated sterling leadership representation and capacity by training several Abia citizens in Solid mineral processing, a program initiated by the immediate past federal government of Nigeria.
Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah equally achieved numerous strides interfacing with past administration in the country, facilitating construction and reconstruction of many federal road infrastructure in Abia state, among the executed and completed projects included Okigwe-Uturu-ABSU road, and Akara-Uturu-
In the political circle, Dr Uchechukwu Ogah’s sojourn into the murky water of Nigeria politics is shrouded in serving the ordinary people, by ensuring basic democratic dividends get their doorsteps towards improving welfare. And this particular political ideology of Dr Ogah, among others, endeared Abians both at home and diaspora, and tipped him as the best man to assume the leadership of Abia state as their Governor, having provided jobs opportunities and empowered thousands of Nigerians, especially Abia youths, elderly men, women within and outside his numerous business conglomerates.
It remains in records that Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah who was former Gubernatorial Candidate in Abia State, maintained among his calibre, the largest political structures and fellowship across the seventeen(17) local government areas in Abia state. And Abians are deterred and resolute in their choice of Dr Uchechukwu Ogah to become their governors in order to replicate his tremendous strides in the private sector in public leadership.

As he recently bagged a Ph.D in Business Administration from LEAD UNIVERSITY in Ibadan, Oyo State, through his dedication and hardwork, Dr Ogah is spurred to further do more in industrial manufacturing/Production, downstream sector, automative, job creation, political leaderships in Nigeria, having evidently sited 500 billion business investments in Uturu Isuikwuato area in Abia state with over 5,000 persons engaged as staffs and workers on auspices of Masters Energy Group.
