Recently, local government chairmen from Nasarawa State paid a visit to the Honourable Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), Hon. Tijani Aliyu Ahmed at his office in Abuja

This meeting aimed to discuss solutions for the challenges faced by displaced persons in the area.

The chairmen stressed the importance of collaboration between local governments and the NCFRMI to increase support and resources for affected communities.

This visit symbolizes the sustained efforts to optimize resource management and community development in Nasarawa State

Our correspondent has reported that the Honourable Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons, Hon. Tijani Aliyu Ahmed, has welcomed a delegation of Local Government Chairmen from Nasarawa State.

The team, led by the ALGON Chairman, expressed their gratitude to the Commissioner for his steadfast dedication to resolving the challenges faced by persons of concern. They also requested collaboration to support these vulnerable groups and foster reconciliation among APC stakeholders in the state.

Hon. Tijani Aliyu Ahmed emphasized the importance of patience and integrity in leadership, highlighting the challenges leaders often face in today’s social climate. He stated, “We live in a generation that will blackmail you,” urging leaders to adopt patience, forgiveness, and gratitude as core virtues.

He further advised leaders to prioritize competence over factional interests in their appointments, uphold respect for traditional institutions, and foster unity by allowing their principals to address internal concerns while maintaining the status quo.

The meeting ended with a shared dedication to strengthening support networks for persons of concern and promoting a more inclusive and reconciled Nasarawa State.
