Nasarawa Lawmaker Ogazi Gives Out Cars, Motorcycles Worth N30m to Constituents
…Urge APC leadership to ensure fairness in 2027 elections
Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, representing Kokona East Constituency in Nasarawa State, Friday distributed cars, motorcycles, and cash worth over N30 million to his constituents. The event, held in Garaku, where various individuals and groups, regardless of political affiliation received his dividends of Democracy.
Ogazi emphasized his commitment to community welfare and pledged to dedicate his salary for the next three years to support the most vulnerable in the area.
During the distribution event in Garaku, Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi stated that his initiative to provide cars and motorcycles was part of his commitment to positively change the standard of living in his constituency. He emphasized the importance of uplifting his constituents through such gestures and reiterated his dedication to community welfare, highlighting that these efforts aim to support the vulnerable and enhance rural development in Kokona Local Government Area
Hon Ogazi who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Rules and Business noted that this is the third time he has provided such support to his constituents within two years of being re-elected as a member of the House. This consistent effort highlights his commitment to enhancing the welfare of his constituents through various forms of assistance.
He promised to continue to touch on the lives of the people of his constituency positively until the end of his tenure.
According to him, What I am doing is borne out of my desire and passion to touch on the lives of the people, especially the poor and the vulnerable ones in the society.
“It is a promised I made to continue to give back to my people what belongs to them.
“Whatever that I get from the assembly that belong to the people and I will surely give to them “.
“I am fortunate to be their representative, there are many who, if given the opportunity can do better than me, so I am not taking that for granted” he said.
Hon. Ogazi disclosed that in one and half years, he has distributed a total of Eighty Three Motorcycles and Nineteen Vehicles amounting to millions of Naira.
He said that richness is not about accumulating much money and landed properties but putting smiles in the faces of the people who are in need.
The Chairman, House Committee on Rules and Business advised beneficiaries to use the items judiciously in order to add value to their lives, those around them and the society at large.
The lawmaker said that very soon, he would commission seven boreholes, box and ring culverts in addition to schools and hospitals he renovated.
He said that he has empowered more than one thousand women with capital to start businesses of their choice.
Hon. Ogazi said planned has already been concluded for another phase of the disbursement immediately after Christmas.
“For those who are yet to enjoy from our gesture, I encourage you to be patient, more of what we are doing are coming” he said.
Speaking on 2027 elections,Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi urged his political party to ensure fairness in the selection process for the 2027 elections. He emphasized the need to provide a level playing field for all contestants vying for the party’s flag bearer position. This call for equity is part of his broader commitment to democratic principles and transparency within the electoral process, aiming to foster a more inclusive political environment.
” I want to call on the party stakeholders to make sure electorates are giving the opportunity to exercise their rights of voting the candidates of their choice in 2027″ he added.
In response to calls for him to contest for the House of Representatives, Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi stated that he would consider the opportunity at an appropriate time. His remarks indicate a willingness to engage in future electoral activities while suggesting that he is currently focused on his responsibilities as a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
“I want to appreciate all those who are making the calls for me to contest for the Seat of House of Representatives.
” But I don’t want to be distracted from what is before me which is providing more dividend of democracy to my people.
“The people of Karu and Keffi LGAs are also making the same calls, I told them it is not yet time.
“Now the people of my immediate constituency are also calling, my answer remain the same, let’s wait for the appropriate time” he said.
Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi expressed his gratitude to God, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the people of his constituency for their ongoing support. He pledged to continue providing quality representation and improving the lives of his constituents. Ogazi highlighted his commitment to enhancing their standard of living through various initiatives and urged them to maintain their support for his efforts in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
He also called on them to continue to pray for leaders at all levels for them to lead with the fear of God and to succeed.
On his part, the former Chairman, Kokona Local Area, Hon. Auwalu Adamu appreciated God for making Hon. Ogazi as representative of Kokona East Constituency in the House.
He called on Hon. Ogazi to contest for House of Representatives seat in 2027.

“There is no candidate that is more qualify to contest in the zone in 2027 than you, please accept this calls when the time comes” he said.
He also emphasized on the need for the political party to provide a level playing ground for all contestants.
“Party should allow electorates to exercise their franchise to vote the candidates of their interest” he said.
The former council boss enjoined the people to continue to support the member so that he can deliver more dividends of democracy to the nocks and cranny of his constituency.
Earlier, Mr Jacob Terry Bado, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kokona LGA, appreciated Hon. Ogazi’s efforts in supporting his people through the distribution of cars and motorcycles.
” You are the best leader I ever see in my political journey. You are different from others. I pray that God should continue to provide for you to support your people” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Dr. Jiriko Nzeghi expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for the gesture and pledged to reciprocate the gesture by supporting him beyond 2027.
He stated that Hon Ogazi is a leader and politician who has made a positive impact on every community in his constituency and beyond.
