The College of Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kokori Ward 6, Ethiope East Local Government Area, presented members with N27.7 million as empowerment and Christmas gifts on Monday.

This initiative aims to support community and during the festive season and enhance local engagement within the party.

The distribution reflects the PDP’s commitment to uplifting its constituents and fostering goodwill among its members, especially during this time of celebration.

Chairman of the College of Leaders and PDP Ward Six Leader, Rt Hon Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese, said the ward leaders decided to raise money among themselves to appreciate party members this yuletide season, assuring that PDP is poised to sustaining and upscaling her political dominance in ward six and across the the state.

The former Federal Lawmaker commended Elder Oborevwori on behalf of Ward Six PDP members, saying that the governor is construction several roads in Kokori Ward 6 and across the three senatorial districts, coupled with several political appointments, including Director General, Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Chairman and member of Boards, Executive Assistants, Senior Special Assistants and other juicy appointments in the ward.

Rt Hon Emeyese stated that the recent defection of the former PDP member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Mrs Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, will have no future negative electioneering effects on Ward Six and in the entire Ethiope East Local Government Area, come.2027.

The Ward 6 Kokori PDP leader advised those who recently defected to the major opposition party in the ward to have a rethink and make U-turn, saying that the party is ready and willing to accept them back unconditionally.

“This empowerment cum Christmas gift is from the College of Leaders, PDP Ward Six Kokori. We raised a total sum of N27.7 million, to be disbursed to 27 units according to the number of registered voters in each unit.

“Some units will receive between N1.8million and N1.7 million, based on each unit membership strength. Units with less than 30 registered members shall receive between N100,000 and N500,000 each, and so on and so forth.

“All units are to meet at their usual meeting locations on Tuesday, 24th December to enable unit leaders disburse palliative to members.

“PDP Ward Six college of leaders agreed to sustain empowerment at regular intervals, going forward. PDP is in firm grip of Ward 6 Kokori, and it is also true that the eleven wards in Ethiope East LGA cannot be penetrated by the major opposition party, no matter how hard they try.” Emeyese assured.

In the same vein, other members of Ward Six College of Leaders, Chief James Omeru, Chief Bernard Agbonmiyeri, Dr (Barrister) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe and Chief (Barrister) Omovie, commended the visionary leadership of the state governor, Rt Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, assuring that come 2027 PDP Ward Six kokori shall deliver the party and the governor at the polls.

According to Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Director General of Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, PDP Ward Six kokori cannot be intimidated by the defection of somebody who won election in 2023 through our dogged campaigns and support.

“We are aware that some of our members who were brain washed defected with her, but we are very sure majority of them shall make U-turn very soon.

“We are determined to cripple APC in Ward Six Kokori. N27.7million we contributed to appreciate our loyal and devoted party members is just a tip in the iceberg.

“At the appropriate time, we shall prove to those who climbed through our party structures in 2023 but later betrayed us that PDP is the political landlord in Ethiope East LGA and across Delta State,” Oghenesivbe assured.
