Nasarawa Speaker gives constituents 500 bags of rice, N6 million for Christmas
Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, distributed 500 bags of rice and provided N6 million in cash to his constituents in a Christmas gesture aimed at enhancing their well-being.
The Speaker said the initiative reflects his commitment to supporting the community during the festive season and improving living standards
Mr. Awuje Jacob, Chief of Staff to the Speaker, conducted the distribution on Monday in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area.
He said that the gesture was borne out of his desires to put smiles on the faces of his constituents during and after the Christmas.
He urged the beneficiaries to ensure that the use the items for the purpose they are meant for.
“Today, I am here again to distribute rice and Cash to the people of my constituency in the spirit of Christmas.
” What I am doing is to put smiles on the faces of my people during the Christmas celebration.
“I have done so much for the people of my constituency and I will continue to do more” he said.
The Speaker called on the people of his constituency to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
” His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule has done well and still doing, let all continue to pray and support him to succeed.
“And to enable us enjoy more dividends of democracy” he said.
The Speaker urged Christians and other Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love, humility, peace, selfless service and tolerate one another.
“Embrace all other positive attributes that the birth of Jesus Christ symbolises for the world.
“If we embraced love, unity, peace, tolerance and sacrifice, Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large will moved forward,” he added.
