Nasarawa Speaker Mourns Loss of Kana, Describing it as One Death Too Many

Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has expressed shock at the death of Hon. Ishaq Ahmed Kana, a former member of the House of Representatives for Keffi, Karu and Kokona constituency in Nasarawa State

The Speaker offered condolences to the immediate family, Afo nation, Kokona LG, and the State at large over the passing of the former lawmaker who also served in the Third Nasarawa State House of Assembly and was Chairman House Committee on Education then.

It is worth noting that Kana, who served as a member of the Third Nasarawa Assembly representing Kokona West constituency from 2007 to 2011, was succeeded by Hon. Danladi Jatau.

A statement issued by Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna, revealed that the Speaker characterized Hon. Kana’s passing as a colossal and devastating blow to Kokona LGA and the State at large.

Speaker Jatau observed that the late lawmaker had a profound impact on the development of Keffi/Karu/Kokona Federal constituency, the State, and the Country, providing significant contributions during his time in office.

According to Jatau, the late federal lawmaker promoted unity, peace, and provided infrastructure, as well as made positive contributions to the development of humanity.

The Speaker was greatly shocked by the news of Hon. Kana’s death, as stated, acknowledging that life and death are divinely ordained.

Speaker Jatau urged the deceased’s family, friends, associates, Afo nation, Kokona LG and the entire State to find solace in God and accept his passing as an act of divine providence.

He prayed to God for the forgiveness of the deceased’s shortcomings and to grant him paradise as his eternal resting place.
