Ex-Kano SSG threatens to expose Yusuf, Kwankwoso’s secrets

Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the erstwhile Secretary to the Kano State Government, has publicly vowed to reveal alleged betrayal by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his political mentor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

In his first address since his ouster in December 2024, Bichi asserted that he had obtained incriminating documents, voice recordings, and videos, which he would unveil “at the opportune moment”. He depicted the duo as untrustworthy and deceptive, maintaining that their actions would soon be laid bare to the public.

In a viral video, Bichi was seen on Thursday disclosing to his followers that a crucial update was soon to be shared.

According to reports in the Daily Trust, it has been noted that since his dismissal, he has remained silent and his whereabouts are unknown.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf recently dismissed him from office, concurrently relieving his Chief of Staff and five other commissioners of their duties.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Culture and Tourism, Ladidi Garko, has been reassigned as Head of Civil Service Commission, and Shehu Wada Sagagi, who was previously removed as Chief of Staff, has been reappointed as Commissioner of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Bichi stated, “I have completed my work in good faith; now is not the time for discussion, as there is much to be said. Numerous things have been documented, in audio and video.”

” God led us to people we cannot trust, and the time will come when we will make the truth known so that people can see them for who they are. They are untrustworthy and only know how to deceive and betray.”

“I thank the people of Bichi. You will hear from us in a short while because we want to help people.”

Global Times Nigeria’s investigation revealed that Bichi was accused of being the arrowhead of the ‘Abba Tsaya da Kafarka’ movement, which sought the governor’s independence from his political mentor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Bichi, a prominent figure within the Kwankwasiyya movement, played a pivotal role in the 2023 general elections that resulted in Abba Kabir Yusuf’s election as Governor of Kano State.
