Mrs. Otti Donates ₦6 Million, Food, and Toiletries to Six Aba and Umuahia Charity Homes
As part of her ongoing philanthropic efforts, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, wife of the Abia State Governor, has donated to six orphanages and destitute homes in Aba and Umuahia, providing financial support, food items, and toiletries. Each home received a cash donation of ₦1,000,000, along with over 30 50kg bags of rice, other food supplies, and toiletries. Moreover, caregivers in each facility were given cash support to acknowledge their dedication and hard work.
The beneficiaries of the donations include:

2. Agape Charity Home, Avodim, Ipupe-Amuba Ubakala
Donation: ₦1,000,000

3. So-Said Charity Homes for Vulnerable Persons, Amibo Ubakala
Donation: ₦1,000,000
Caregivers: ₦150,000
4. St. Vincent De Paul Center for Mentally and Physically Challenged Persons, Umuafai Ndume Ibeku
Donation: ₦1,000,000
Caregivers: ₦150,000
5. Ngwa Road Motherless Babies Home
Donation: ₦1,000,000
Caregivers: ₦150,000
6. SDA Motherless Babies Home
Donation: ₦1,000,000
Caregivers: ₦100,000
Mrs. Otti, represented by Mrs. Adaeze Emetu, the Deputy Governor’s wife, emphasized during the outreach the administration’s unwavering commitment to uplifting the less privileged and prioritizing their welfare. She commended the coordinators and caregivers for their selfless dedication to humanitarian services, particularly their care for vulnerable children.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs Mrs Maureen Aghukwa, and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Poverty Alleviation and Vulnerable Groups, Mrs. Ifeoma Thomas also expressed gratitude to Mrs. Otti for her impactful initiative, appreciating the caregivers for their tireless efforts in providing care and support.
Leaders of the benefitting homes, including Rev. Sister Maria Anita Ogbonna of Ahiaeke Motherless Babies Home and Madam Oyibo Okonkwo of Agape Charity Home lauded the administration of Governor Alex Otti and his wife for their compassion and focus on the welfare of destitute homes. They prayed for God’s blessings and wisdom upon them as they continue to serve the state.
Notably, earlier in the year, Mrs. Otti personally visited Susana Homes at Ukwa East, where she donated ₦1,000,000, Bags of rice, food items, and other essentials to further support their operations.
This outreach underscores Mrs. Otti’s commitment to championing the cause of vulnerable communities in Abia State, bringing hope and care to those in need.
