Nasarawa State University Keffi Lays Foundation for New Lecture Theatre

Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University Keffi, has reaffirmed the university’s commitment to partnering with organizations that will drive development projects within the institution.
This pledge was made during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Abdulsamad Rabiu 500-capacity lecture theatre, which took place at the institution’s second gate on Thursday
Professor Liman’s statement underscores the university’s efforts to foster collaborations that enhance its infrastructure and academic programs. This approach is in line with the university’s goal of providing a conducive learning environment and promoting excellence in research and scholarship.
The university has a history of partnering with local and international organizations to advance its academic and research agenda.
For instance, the Directorate of Linkages and International Cooperation has established collaborations with various institutions, including the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Huawei Technologies Nigeria Limited, and the University of Rwanda, among others ¹.
The Vice Chancellor, commended the Abdulsamad Rabiu Africa Initiative for selecting the university as the beneficiary of a new 500-capacity lecture theatre. The groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of the project, which is expected to be completed within six months.
Professor Liman expressed gratitude to the initiative, noting that Nasarawa State University has joined the list of six universities across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones to benefit from the grant. She praised the Chairman of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, for his passion towards promoting education and urged him to sustain his efforts.

Professor Liman appealed to the contractors handling the project to apply a high sense of professionalism to ensure the delivery of quality work.
Dr. Ubon Udoh, Managing Director and CEO of Abdulsamad Rabiu Africa Initiative, explained that the university was selected for the project due to its massive transformation and growth. He advised the contractors to execute quality work that would be appreciated.
The contractors promised to work with the project guidelines to deliver on their mandate and called for support to enable them to achieve success.
