Charity foundation pays WAEC fees for 85 Isoko North students
The CEO of Rosewood Retreat Hotel and Founder of Obaro Charity Foundation, Engr Obaro Freedom Burutu, has funded the enrolment fees for eighty-five students from Isoko North LGA to participate in the upcoming West African Examinations Council exams.
The Obaro Charity Foundation-sponsored project allocated three million, six hundred and twenty-six thousand naira, valued at 3,626,000.
Obaro, speaking at the presentation held at Igbonine Grammar School Ozoro, outlined the selection criteria for the 85 students from Secondary Schools in Isoko North LGA, pointing out that the Program is in conformity with “The vision and mission of the Foundation”.
According to the CEO, Obaro Freedom Burutu, “the selection criteria were based on merit, and I am passionate about seeing the education of youths and children thrive in the Isoko nation.”
He used the opportunity to admonish the selected students to live up to expectations of those who committed huge resources into their education assuring that more opportunities abound so long as they excel in their academic pursuits.
Receiving the cheque from Obaro Charity Foundation on behalf of the students and parents of the selected students, Chairman Nigeria Union Of Teachers (NUT) Isoko North, Mr Ubido Godswill commended Obaro Freedom Burutu for the kind gesture describing it as unprecedented and worthy of commendation and emulation.
Also the CEO and founder of Obaro Charity Foundation, During the meeting gave a student from Government Secondary School Owhelogbo, Ubogu Avurakoghene Favour who is also the Head girl of the school who lost both her parents in a fatal accident the sum of Five hundred thousand naira. (#500,000) and a Scholarship throughout her University level of the school of her choice in Nigeria.
