New Kogi Police Commissioner Visits Atta Igala for Royal Blessings

The newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Kogi state, Miller Dantawaye, visited the palace of paramount traditional ruler and president Kogi State Council of chiefs, Atta Igala, His Majesty Agabaidu, (Dr) Mathew Alaji Opaluwa, in Idah local government area of Kogi State on Wednesday.

The visit, accompanied by the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 8 and his team, aimed to solicit Royal Blessings and prayers upon assuming duty in the state. Dantawaye referred to the Igala kingdom as his second home, having been born in the area many years ago.

In assuring the Royal father of safety of lives and properties, the new Commissioner of Police sought the cooperation and that of his subjects in the area of security.

His Majesty Agabaidu, (Dr) Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa 11 CFR, the Atta Igala, congratulated the new Commissioner of Police on his appointment, noting that Kogi is homecoming, and indeed his second home.

He pledged to provide maximum cooperation, along with that of his subjects, to guarantee the success of his mission and vision of safeguarding lives and properties.

Atta Igala wished the new Commissioner of Police, Assistant Inspector General of Police, a successful tenure.
