Sule appoints 16 commissioners, including two ex-lawmakers in Nasarawa

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has appointed 16 new commissioners after the State House of Assembly screened and confirmed the nominees. The nominees include Yakubu Kwanta from Akwanga LGA, Tanko Tunga from Awe LGA, Munirat Abdullahi, Gabriel Agbashi from Doma LGA. Other nominees are David Moyi from Obi LGA, Dr. Gaza Gwamna from Toto LGA, Barr Judbo Hauwa Samuel, Hon. Muazu Gosho from Wamba, Hon Aminu Mu’azu Maifata, CP Usman Baba (retd.) from Lafia LGA, and Hon. Mohammed Sani Ottos from Nasarawa LGA

In a statement issued by Jibrin Gwamna, the State Assembly Chief Press and obtained by Global Times Nigeria, noted that the 16 Commissioners include former Majority Leader of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Hon. Umar Tanko Tunga and former Most Ranking member of the State Assembly Hon. Mohammed Agah Muluku.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, made this disclosure during the House proceedings in Lafia on Monday.
“The Governor has submitted the names of 16 nominees for Commissioners to the Assembly for screening and confirmation. I want to urge the appointees to submit 30 copies of their CVs to the House by Thursday and appear for screening next Monday.”
“Those appointed by the Governor include Yakubu Kwanta from Akwanga LGA, Hon. Tanko Tunga from Awe LGA, Hajiya Munirat Abdullahi and Gabriel Agbashi from Doma LGA, Barr. Isaac Danladi Amadu from Karu LGA, Princess Margret Itaki Elayo from Keana LGA, Dr. Ibrahim Tanko from Keffi LGA, and Dr. John DW Mamman from Kokona LGA.”

“Others are Hon Aminu Mu’azu Maifata and CP Usman Baba (Rtd) from Lafia LGA, Hon. Mohammed Sani Ottos from Nasarawa LGA, Hon. Mohammed Agah Muluku from Nasarawa Eggon LGA, Barr. David Moyi from Obi LGA, Dr. Gaza Gwamna from Toto LGA and Barr Judbo Hauwa Samuel and Hon. Muazu Gosho from Wamba LGA” he added.
Global Times Nigeria Reports indicate that the list consisted of two former state lawmakers and six immediate past commissioners, and that three of the 16 commissioners are female.
