…Tasks Appointees to Align with Government Policy
Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart and former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, stated that he has every confidence in the capacity of the newly formed cabinet members under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule to perform their duties, emphasizing that their extensive experience will be pivotal in shaping the state.
Balarabe Abdullahi, Chairman of the Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State, made this remark during a congratulatory visit to newly appointed political officials in the State.
The former Speaker recently visited the new Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State (SSG), Barr. Shuaibu Labaran Magaji, Ph.D, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, who was the Immediate past ALGON National President, Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata, and Hon. Umar Tanko Tunga, Commissioner Lands and Urban Development, who served as his then Majority Leader in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
Others include Dr. Gaza Gwamna, Commissioner for Health, Hon. Muhammed Sani Ottos, Commissioner for Commerce and Investment and former Chairman of Nasarawa LG, Mohammed Sani Otto and Commissioner for Environment Barr. Isaac Danladi, among others.
Balarabe Abdullahi was accompanied on the visit by Hon. Barr. Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali, Special Adviser to Governor Sule on Legislative Liaison, and Hon. Abdullahi Dahiru Angibi, former Member for Lafia Central, among others.
The political leader of Toto LG and Walin Opanda Kingdom congratulated the new appointees, describing their appointments as well-deserved in light of their extensive experiences.
Balarabe advised them to harness their experiences and support Governor Abdullahi Sule’s policy drive to promote good governance and provide the requisite dividends of democracy to the people of the State.
The appointees, in their respective statements, thanked the former Speaker for the visit, describing it as historic and unprecedented gesture by a prominent citizen, which will act as a moral boaster for them.
