Ethiope East PDP Mega Empowerment Program Holds Monday, Match 31

In line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, elected representatives and political appointees of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State are set to launch a major empowerment initiative dubbed the “Mother of All Empowerments.” This initiative aligns with the governor’s focus on meaningful development, opportunities for all, realistic reforms, and enhanced peace and security.
Similar efforts under the MORE Agenda have prioritized infrastructure, human capital development, and social investment programs to uplift communities across Delta State.
Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Publicity Secretary of Ethiope Federal Constituency PDP Forum, in a statement announced an empowerment initiative across all eleven wards in Ethiope East LGA.
According to him, “This effort aims to express gratitude to party faithfuls and supporters by enhancing their well-being and providing financial support to boost their businesses.
The initiative aligns with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, which emphasizes development and support for communities. Similar empowerment programs, such as those by Chief Abraham Odjighoro, have also been conducted in the area, reflecting a broader strategy to uplift local economies and foster community development
Dr Oghenesivbe disclosed that the elected representatives and political appointees of the LGA under the leadership of the irrepressible Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, decided to pull financial resources together, running into several millions of Naira to support the robust empowerment programmes of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who has empowered over 280,000 young entrepreneurs and women across the three senatorial districts since he became governor on May 29, 2023 and counting.
The mega empowerment event, according to Oghenesivbe, shall take place at the Secretariat Hall of Ethiope Local Government Council, Isiokolo in Agbon Kingdom.
All elected Representatives, political appointees, empowerment beneficiaries and invited guests are to be seated on or before 9:45 am, as the programme shall commence exactly 10am.
Notable leaders expected to grace the event include, the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, the Honourable Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof Nyerhovwo Tonukari, the party LGA leader, Chief Bernard Edewor, Chief Michael Adiotomre, Ward 6 PDP Leader, Rt Hon Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese Esq, State Director of Protocol, Chief Sunday Onoriode, Chairman of Ethiope Local Government Council, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, Ethiope LGA PDP party Chairman, Chief Midwest Iboyitete, Chief James Omeru, Dr (Barr) Sunday Omovie, Dr (Barr) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, and several others.
