No Vacancy in Government House Asaba as NLC State Chairman Hosts Integrity Group of Delta State

The Chairman of the National Labour Congress (NLC) in Delta State, Olorogun Comrade Goodluck Ofobruku, has reaffirmed his commitment and that of the NLC to the re-election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027.

During a courtesy visit by the Integrity Group of Delta State (The More Agenda And You Matter Charity Foundation Ambassadors) to the Labour House in Asaba, Comrade Ofobruku commended the group’s dedication to the governor’s developmental agenda. He officially joined the Integrity Group and declared his full support for Governor Oborevwori’s second term bid.

In an interview, the convener of the group, Dr. Oke Idawene, rated the group’s performance at 80%, stating that the Integrity Group is now present in all 25 local government areas of the state.

“We are consolidating to ensure we get ward and unit structures in place. The state is moving forward, and we are already planning for our second year anniversary, which will be merged with the One Million March,” Dr. Idawene stated. “So far, we have been making sure the world hears about the MORE agenda. We will continue to consolidate our efforts to make Governor Oborevwori’s re-election a reality.”

He further emphasized the group’s unwavering commitment, declaring, “A lion does not give birth to a goat. The governor is a lion, and we, his children and supporters, are also lions.”

Comrade Bolu Mathis also reiterated the group’s mission, saying, “We are not looking at what has passed but what is coming. We are putting everything together to take Delta State by storm. As far as the Integrity Group is concerned, there is no vacancy in Government House.”

He expressed optimism about the planned One Million March, stating that the turnout will surpass expectations. “One million is a small number. The organized labor will exceed that figure, and others will join. Expect more than one million people because everyone is happy with the governor. The march is a way to consolidate support and tell the world that Governor Sheriff is a working governor.”

Dr. Mrs. Minnie Ajuwede Igbrude, Chairman of the Planning Committee for the One Million March and a member of the Local Government Service Commission, also echoed the group’s confidence in the governor’s performance.

“Even the opposition party acknowledges his good works. The blind can see it, the deaf can hear it, and even the mute can testify. The One Million March will be a huge success because more groups are joining. It might even become a Two Million March,” she remarked. “When you have a good product, you don’t need to beg people to buy it. Governor Oborevwori’s achievements speak for my themselves, but for those still in doubt, this march will serve as a reminder.”

The clergy and intercessor group for Governor Oborevwori also officially aligned with the Integrity Group. Speaking to the press, Venerable Augustine A. Okirigben affirmed their full support for the governor’s re-election.

“As the leader of my group, I have instructed my coordinators to join the Integrity Group. We are committed to delivering victory for the governor in his second term bid. On the day of the march, we will declare loudly that the Integrity Group stands behind Governor Oborevwori.”

Similarly, the Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers Association of Nigeria expressed confidence in the Integrity Group’s ability to deliver results.

“The members of this group are men and women of integrity, and I believe in them. The governor’s impact on the workforce is remarkable. For the first time, when salaries were increased, it took him less than two sittings to approve payments. He has adopted the federal salary structure, and civil servants are happy. We are solidly behind him to achieve his second term,” he stated.

Dignitaries in attendance at the event included Navy Captain Hermans Efenudu and other top officials. The event further cemented the Integrity Group’s growing influence and unwavering commitment to ensuring Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s re-election in 2027.
