The Director-General of the National Productivity Center, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, urges participants at the ongoing capacity-building workshop for human resource management staff to apply the skills they learn to create a more efficient and productive workforce.

Dr. Dan’Agundi made this call while declaring the three-day workshop open at the Event and Conference Centre in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area, on Tuesday. The workshop aims to equip HR professionals with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to drive organizational excellence.

A three-day capacity-building workshop, themed “Capacity Building for Improved Performance of All Human Resource Management,” highlighted the crucial role of human resource management in shaping organizational productivity and efficiency.

Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, Director-General of the National Productivity Center, emphasized the importance of human resource management in driving organizational success.

Represented by Mrs. Ame Apia, Director of Media and Special Duties, he encouraged participants to engage actively, share experiences, and leverage the opportunity to gain knowledge and enhance productivity.

In his opening remarks, Mallam Shuaibu Zakari Atte, Director and Head of the Human Resource Management Department, underscored the need to strengthen staff competency, adopt best practices, and refine strategies to address current and future challenges in human resource management.

Prof. Fatai A. Aremu, Head Consultant for HRM and Research Enterprise Consultancy, and Dr. Mrs. Titilola Oshafi, Director of Productivity Capacity Building, also highlighted the workshop’s positive implications, noting that it would enhance the capacity of the workforce.

Participants expressed optimism that the program would equip them with the necessary knowledge to deliver effectively in their assigned tasks.

The event featured interactive sessions, including questions and answers, with resource persons addressing relevant topics.
