Rita Daniel Single Parenthood and GirlChild Initiative, in collaboration with the Regina Daniels Foundation, recognized and celebrated influential women in Delta State who have attained significant success.
The foundation’s celebration, a two-day event titled Accelerate in Action: A Celebration, featured diverse groups of women from Delta North, who congregated to celebrate their achievements, while delving deeper into the discourse on the role of women in national development and the imperative for women to enhance their capacity and acquire simple skills to attain financial security and success.

Speaking during the celebration, Chief Hon. Rita Daniels Chukwuji stated that she was overwhelmed to see the large numbers of women, both far and near, at the celebration.
Rita noted that the items provided to the beneficiaries will increase their value substantially if employed properly and will diminish the hardships they encounter.
Chukwuji assured that she will be supportive of the women whenever required and promised to keep them engaged.
She further explained that the event is designed to commemorate women who have accomplished outstanding feats and provide aid to those who are still endeavoring to reach their peak.
She pointed out, the event also celebrated ‘He-for-Shes’, the men who have made notable contributions to women. Meanwhile, Mrs. Regina Nwoko advised the women to persist in supporting each other.
She stressed that the moment has arrived to increase the number of women leaders in all aspects of life, and thus urged women to pursue leadership positions.
Mrs. Debbie Abinoma, an Educationist and guest speaker, noted that the event was timely, emphasizing that despite numerous discussions and declarations on women’s rights over the years, it was now time to empower women.
She emphasized that women must now take steps to empower themselves and intensify their involvement in politics.
She also advocated for more Nigerian women to take advantage of activities and engagements organised for them, noting that this year’s theme is apt and validates the role of women in national development.
The Guest speaker on Healthcare, Mrs. Omozuma Eki Christiana, Principal Nursing Officer, Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, Delta State, emphasizes the importance of regular physical activity for women, urging them to monitor their Blood Pressure, Sugar Test and other medical fitnesses to prevent illness.
On his part, Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial district in the National Assembly, addressed the gathering, saying that Governor of Delta State, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, has advised his exco members to distance themselves from the Anioma creation agenda.
According to Nwoko, drama unfolded when he moved the motion for the creation of Anioma State at the National Assembly, a move he thought would be welcomed by the good people of Anioma, Delta State.
He pointed out that as soon as the motion was introduced in the hallowed chambers, the governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, and his devoted PDP party supporters commenced raising eyebrows in his direction.
The Delta North Senator maintained that Sheriff Oborevwori explicitly stated that any commissioner who supports the Anioma creation agenda will be sacked.
He stated that he decided to withdraw from the PDP party as a member and crossed over to the APC party as a committed member, and has secured support from Anioma sons and daughters in the Anioma creation agenda.
Nwoko declared that President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and other National Assembly members endorse the creation agenda for Anioma, which has cleared the first reading and additional stages in the respected legislative chambers.
He urges all Anioma faithful to come out en masse to support him, emphasizing that collective effort is necessary for the betterment of Anioma/Delta State.
He applauded Hon Rita Daniels for coordinating the event, notably in the area of capacity building, and thanked the group for gathering to celebrate themselves.

Mrs. Okonkwo Tracy, a recipient of a sewing machine, expressed her gratitude to Chief Hon. Rita Daniels Chukwuji for providing them with the equipment during an interview with journalists at the event.
She noted that the sewing machine would enhance her business prospects and provide for her family, assuring careful and joyful utilization of the equipment.
The pinnacle of the event was the presentation of Hairdryers, Grinding Machines, Ovens, Sewing Machines, and Hand Blenders to deserving women and the girl child who participated in the event through the foundation.
