Nasarawa Assembly scores Gov. Sule above 75 percent, praises Tinubu on infrastructure

….Those calling 7th Assembly rubber stamp are enemies of progress – Speaker Jatau

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau PhD, has lauded Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his impressive performance, rating him above 75 percent for his substantial investments in infrastructure, peace, and other sectors in the state over the last six years.

The Speaker gave his commendation while addressing the Media to commemorate Gov. Sule’s six years in office and President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s two years in office.

The Speaker observed that the projects executed by Gov. Sule have had a direct positive impact on the lives of the state’s residents.

 

“Today marks the sixth years of His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule as Governor of Nasarawa State.

” I think from look of things and what is on ground, he has performed above 75 per cent in terms of infrastructure, employment and peace, he has attracted investors to the State hugely.

” Look at the ongoing construction of flyovers, under pass across the State, State Secretariat Complex Lafia, youth and women empowerment, welfare of civil servants and pensioners among others. He has done well in all aspects.

” Engr. A A Sule has really tried, we commend him for his leadership style, the person that will succeed him have a lot to do” he said.

Dr. Jatau also said that Gov. Sule has done well in providing all inclusive leadership in the state.

” I also want to commend His Excellency for his all inclusiveness as his appointments cut across ethnic and religious groups in the State .

” He is somebody that is not bias in terms of ethnicity, religion. Engr A A Sule I scored him 90 percent in that aspect” he said.

The Speaker said that the 7th Assembly under his watch is not rubber stamp, saying that they are working tirelessly with the Governor in order to bring speedy development to the State.

” For any government to progress, there must be cordial working relationship among the arms of government. The three arms of government must work together, otherwise there will be no progress.

“Whoever is saying we are rubber stamp are just enemies of progress and may be our political enemies and they don’t want anything good for the state.

” I want to state categorically that we are not and we will never be rubber stamp. We will continue to work together with His Excellency for the growth and development of the state” he said.

Jatau said that the 7th Assembly under his watch has resolved to work in unity and togetherness irrespective of party affiliations for the overall development of the state.

He said that the 7th Assembly has the highest numbers of private members bill in the history of the State.

” This is the Assembly that has the highest numbers of self sponsor bills by members for the benefit of our people and good governance of the state” he said.

He said that the people of the state should expect more dividends of democracy before the end of Gov. Sule tenure in 2027.

On President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Two Years in Office, the Speaker hailed the President for his infrastructural development across the country.

” I want to appreciate His Excellency, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for his leadership style in the country.

” When he came on board, he removed subsidy and now we are seeing the benefits of the fuel subsidy removal as there is increase in federal allocation to states and local government areas.

” The president has constructed roads, health facilities among others and the establishment of North Central Development Commission (NCDC) with Headquarters in our state, Lafia, is a great achievements for us.

” I think he has tried, so I scored the President above 65 percent and by the time he will complete his two years, he will reach 90 per cent, we thank God for his leadership,” he added.

Jatau advised leaders in the country to live up to expectation and to carry everybody along irrespective of their political, religious and ethnic affiliations.

He also urged Nigerians to support leaders at all levels in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

” Let’s see ourselves as one Nigeria. It is God that brought us together and we have to support each other to succeed,” he added.

The Speaker also urged the people of the State and Nigerians to
live in unity, peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.

” We should live in peace as peace is paramount. We cannot compromise peace and peace is not only one man business.

” All hands must be on deck to ensure that there is peace for the progress and development of the country” the Speaker added.
