Engr. Bashir Gegu donates a Land Cruiser Prado Jeep to Maigari of Lokoja

Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources in Kogi State, views leadership as a means to be fair and just by ensuring equal distribution of wealth regardless of tribe, religion, or social status. He emphasizes supporting traditional institutions as custodians of the people to enable them to perform their roles effectively.
On a recent visit to the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Muhammad Maikarfi IV (Bagadodzi), Engr. Bashir Gegu donated a brand new Land Cruiser Prado Jeep to the royal father at his palace. This donation was part of his commitment to complement the efforts of the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and to support traditional rulers in their official functions. He has made similar donations to other royal fathers in Kogi and encourages the people of Lokoja to continue supporting the state government under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s leadership.
Bashir Gegu praised the Maigari of Lokoja for fostering peace and dedication to his subjects and prayed for Allah’s protection and wisdom for him to succeed further. This act aligns with his broader philosophy of compassionate, inclusive leadership and community development, demonstrated through various empowerment and support initiatives in the state.
Responding, the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Muhammad Maikarfi IV (Bagadodzi), warmly received Commissioner Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu and his entourage at his palace.
The Monarch expressed deep gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him through the generous donation of the brand new Land Cruiser Prado Jeep.
In his prayer, the Maigari asked Allah to continue to strengthen Commissioner Bashir Gegu and to grant him all his heart’s desires throughout his political journey, Inshallah. Amen
