…..Says inclusivity key in state development agend

In a commendable initiative aimed at inclusivity, the Kogi State Commissioner for the Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Chief Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, has commenced the distribution of monthly cash stipends amounting to ₦300,000 he earlier pledge to the immediate past councilors in Kogi local government
This, the Commissioner said the support targets past council officials, ensuring they are not left out of the state’s development agenda.
The cash support was delivered through the Commissioner’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Muhammed Abdulmumuni Chiri, who is also a member of the forum and as well immediate past councilor

The Kogi local government political leader said the aims is to recognize and appreciate the contributions of immediate past electoral ward councilors in Kogi Local Government, especially their role in the election of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo
Chief Bashir Gegu emphasized serving the interests of all stakeholders within and outside the political system which symbolises his vision and mission in politics
He urged the past council officials to act as ambassadors for the All Progressives Congress (APC), supporting its policies and programs.
Responding, Hon. Hassan Dadi Muhammed, leader of ex-councillors and immediate former councilor representing Koton-Karfe South East electoral ward, expressed gratitude for the historic gesture and pledged unwavering support for Governor Ododo’s re-election in 2027.

Dadi said the initiative marks a historic first in the area, showcasing a leadership style that values and supports past political office holders. It also strengthens political unity and commitment within the APC ahead of future elections.
