Kogi AG Habibat Tijani says government is committed to improving people’s lives
Residents of the Kogi state have been advised to tap into the government’s various intervention programs, which are designed to provide financial assistance, improve infrastructure, and enhance the overall quality of life, in order to make life more comfortable and convenient for all citizens, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.
Kogi State Accountant General (AG), Hajiah Doctor Habibat Tijani gave the advise at Orietesu Ward in Okene Local Government Area in continuation of her tour with All Progressive Congress stakeholders to various wards in central Senatorial Districts of the state.
She said Ododo led administration has establishment windows of opportunities to access economically and advised the people particularly those physically challenged to look out for those that fits their passion for survival.
The AG who made a cash donation to the ward also advised the natives not to be narrow minded and continue to speak for the general interest of the people.
In a remark, the former Chairman of the Council, Mr Abdulrahzak Mohammed who expressed appreciation to the crowd who grace the occasion also called for a minute silence for the Islamic cleric whose posthumous remembrance coincides with the earlier date set for the meeting.
Also speaking at the event, the General Manager of Rural Water and Sanitation Agency, Mr Ibrahim Ahovi, praised the AG for bringing the dividends of democracy to the grassroots level and advised the people to take seriously information given by her as it represent the true mind of the state government.
Similarly, the Head of Project Financial Management Unit, World Bank Assisted Projects, Mallam Aliu Abdulazeez who is an indegen of the council thanked the AG for the visit and pledged their support to All Progressive Congress led administration.
Present at the occasion were; Chairman, Okene Local Government Area Nuhu Enesi, Special Adviser on Grassroots Mobilisation, Honourable Mohshood Omuya, Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Yusuf Shaibu.
Others are; APC leader Mallam Ibrahim Usman ( Okidi), APC Ward Chairman Honourable Ilyasu Onusagba, Alhaji Ademu Abdullahi ( Adam Brown) Mallam Ibrahim Achika, Mallam Abdulazeez Oyibo, Mallam Oseni Wellem, and Mallam Suleiman Anate.
