Dr. Tajudeen Bismillahi, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Kogi West Senatorial aspirant, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Nigerians and the people of Kogi State over the passing of the former President, Retired General Muhammadu Buhari.

Dr. Bismillahi, who has been a vocal advocate for the development of Kogi State, noted that the late President Buhari’s contributions to the country’s growth and development, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, economy, and security, will be deeply missed.

He urged Nigerians to unite in their grief and celebrate the life and legacy of the former President, who dedicated his life to serving the nation.

Dr. Bismillahi also acknowledged President Buhari’s efforts in promoting peace and stability in the country, and his commitment to leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.

He called on Nigerians to honor the late President’s memory by continuing to work towards a united and prosperous nation.

In a statement issued to journalists in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, on Tuesday, Bismillahi described President Buhari’s death as a rude shock to the entire country, especially at a time when Nigeria needs the wisdom, guidance, and leadership experience of elder statesmen who are familiar with the nation’s history from the pre-independence era to the present.

This is particularly significant given the current challenges facing the nation, including economic uncertainty, security threats, and social unrest.

Bismillahi emphasized that elder statesmen like President Buhari have played a crucial role in shaping Nigeria’s history and have a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of the nation’s development. Their wisdom and guidance are essential in navigating the country through these challenging times, and their loss is deeply felt across the nation.

The APC stalwart hailed Buhari as a leader who stabilized Nigeria, adding that his enduring legacies—particularly his anti-corruption stance, economic reforms, and simplicity—will always be remembered.

The politician cum philanthropist urged friends, associates and immediate family of former President to take solace in the fact that Buhari had lived a fulfilled life that is worthy of emulation.

Dr. Bismillahi urged politicians across the country to always emulate his good qualities for a better Nigeria.

He also commiserated with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress, and the people of Daura in Katsina state, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the loss of the revered leader who has taken the party to an enviable height during his lifetime, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, hard work, and commitment to the nation’s growth and development.

The late leader’s contributions to the party’s success and his impact on the lives of many Nigerians will be deeply missed and remembered for years to come.

He prayed Allah grant the soul of the former President Aljanat Fidauz.
