Delta SNYC to March in Support of Tantita Security Services for Pipeline Surveillance in Niger Delta
The Southern Nigeria Youth Congress (SNYC) in Delta State is organizing a one-day solidarity and endorsement march to recognize Tantita Security Services for their outstanding contributions to pipeline surveillance in the Niger Delta.
Tantita Security Services has been noted for significant achievements such as recovering over 2,000,000 barrels of crude oil per day, drastically reducing crude oil theft, and decreasing pipeline vandalism in the region.
Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), awarded a pipeline surveillance contract by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) in 2022, has helped reduce oil losses by about 89%, detecting illegal connections, theft, and illegal refining activities.
The firm uses a combination of human intelligence, drones, CCTV cameras, patrol boats, and vehicles for extensive surveillance of difficult terrains in the Niger Delta.
Beyond security, Tantita has contributed to peacebuilding and youth empowerment in the Niger Delta, providing employment to thousands of youths and supporting community development initiatives.
The company’s efforts have been praised by various groups including the Ijaw National Congress and Niger Delta youth organizations, who highlight Tantita’s role in fostering economic stability, peace, and sustainable development in the oil-rich region.
The solidarity march by SNYC is thus a public acknowledgment of Tantita’s positive impact on pipeline security and the socio-economic enhancement of the Niger Delta communities.
This endorsement aligns with broader recognition from multiple stakeholders emphasizing Tantita’s role in reducing pipeline sabotage, curbing illegal bunkering, and improving oil production metrics in the Niger Delta.
These efforts have significantly increased national revenue and secured regional peace.
Under the leadership of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) and Managing Director High Chief Kestin Pondi, Tantita Security Services has successfully cracked down on illegal refineries and pipeline vandalism, resulting in a decline in oil spills and pollution of farmlands and water bodies.
Comrade Monday praised Tantita Security Services’ dedication to securing the Niger Delta region and promoting economic growth.
He said the date for the solidarity and endorsement march will be announced soon after consultations with relevant stakeholders are completed.
