Kogi CP Dantawaye decorates five newly promoted ACPs, one SP

The Nigeria Police Force has recently witnessed a significant promotion event under the leadership of Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, highlighting his dedication to rewarding professionalism and commitment within the force.

In Kogi State, the Commissioner of Police, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, alongside his management team, held a brief yet vibrant ceremony at the Command Headquarters in Lokoja to officially decorate several newly promoted senior officers.

The promoted officers include:

ACP Aliyu Demba, Officer-in-Charge of SID

ACP Mustapha Tijjani, ACP Admin

ACP Ibrahim Jawi, Area Commander Ankpa

ACP George Ekpe, Area Commander Okehi

ACP Kalu Nnana, Area Commander Idah

SP Margaret Idowu Ikheloa, 2ic Medical

This promotion aligns with the IGP’s vision to enhance the police force’s leadership and boost personnel morale.

In the press release signed and issued by SP William Ovye Aya, Police Public Relations Officer of the Kogi State Police Command in Lokoja, CP Dantawaye congratulated the officers who were promoted.

He emphasized that their new ranks come with greater responsibilities, highlighting the expectations for them to demonstrate increased dedication and commitment in their duties moving forward.

He urged them to stay professional, committed, and proactive in their duties.

The Commissioner highlighted that promotion is not just a reward but a call to heightened service and expectations.

He also advised the officers to use their ranks positively—to support and uplift others rather than oppress junior officers—and to continue serving with integrity and renewed zeal.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Command’s management team, senior officers, family members, and well-wishers, all gathered to celebrate the significant career milestones of the promoted officers.
