Akande felicitates Governor Okpebholo on 55th birthday

Hon. Victor Ureshemi Akande felicitated with Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on his 55th birthday anniversary in a statement made available to the press on Friday.
Akande described Governor Okpebholo as a gentleman who is focused and committed to serving the people of Edo State selflessly.
Akande’s felicitations on Okpebholo’s 55th birthday emphasize the governor’s gentlemanly character, focus, and selfless commitment to serving the people of Edo State, reflecting Okpebholo’s dedication as a leader advancing the welfare and development of the state
The press statement partly read, “My family and I, as well as my entire political structure in Akoko-Edo felicitate the performing Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo on his 55th birthday anniversary.
“I can attest to your visionary leadership, your selfless service and unwavering commitment to the development of Edo State. I pray for steadfastness as you navigate the state towards greater height. May this birthday anniversary bring forth all you wish for; good health, prosperity, wisdom, and most of all, happiness.
May you celebrate more impactful years. May the Almighty God continue to be your eternal guide to be able to navigate the Edo ship all through your first four year tenure and beyond.”
It would be recalled that Senator Monday Okpebholo, the governor of Edo State, was born on August 29, 1970, in the Udomi-Uwessan community of Irrua in the Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria.
He attended Udomi Community Primary School and Ujabhole Community Secondary School in his hometown and later completed his senior school certificate in Jos, Plateau State. Okpebholo earned a degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Policy and Leadership Studies from the University of Abuja.
Okpebholo’s political career includes being elected as the senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.
He was inaugurated into the 10th National Assembly on June 13, 2023.
In 2024, he won the APC gubernatorial primary election and subsequently the Edo State governorship election, becoming governor on November 12, 2024.
His campaign focused on agricultural development, youth empowerment, and rural infrastructure.
Besides politics, he is an entrepreneur with investments in hospitality, construction, oil and gas, and ICT through companies like Chapman Computers Limited and Interweb Satcom Limited.
